Elisa Coda, Paola Esposito, and Giovanni Trovato explain the aim and core research activities of ArOMa in Fes (Morocco). The event is open to academics and the general public; for this purpose, it takes place in the very heart of the old Medina. Cooperation with Moroccan universities and libraries is important for Aroma’s research. Thus, we present our research, the expected results and the outstanding issues. As part of this initiative, there is also be a brief presentation in Arabic on the ERC funding schemes and the opportunities for Moroccan researchers to collaborate with the University of Pisa (ArOMa’s H.I.) and, more generally, with other European universities under Horizon Europe. A joint initiative of L’Orientale University and Federico II University, orgranized by Florinda De Simini and M. Chiara Scappaticcio. Indeed, the aim is to discuss the lines of research in the humanities funded by the ERC and hosted by Italian universities: hence, a debate that looks to the future of humanities research in Italy.
